Como Trademark Policy

  1. General

    This page contains detailed information about Como trademarks, logos, icons, service marks, trade dress, slogans, and copyrighted designs or other brand features (collectively “Como Brand Features”), and about how to refer to them in various scenarios.

    The name Como is associated with high-quality software products and services. The Como Brand Features are of great value because they represent the high standard of quality and excellence associated with Como.

    All rights, title and interest in and to the Como Brand Features, and any goodwill associated therewith, are owned by Como. Como has claimed rights to its Brand Features through registration thereof with official trademark offices worldwide. As the owner of Como Brand Features, Como may prevent others from using its Brand Features (or similar trademarks) in a way that would confuse people into thinking that there’s a relationship between Como and a person who isn’t authorized to use the trademark, or that Como endorses that other person’s products or services.

    All Como Brand Features will be used only as explicitly licensed by Como under this trademark policy (“Policy”). The Como Brand Features include, without limitation, the name “Como”, the “Como” logo and the Como icon. As Como registers or uses other trademarks, it will update this Policy.
  2. Approval

    As a general rule, third parties may not use Como Brand Features. Under limited circumstances, certain usages of Como Brand Features is permitted and no specific permission from us is required. The Como Brand Features must always be used pursuant to the guidelines available on this page to identify Como or the Como mobile app–generating platform. Any use other than that is strictly prohibited. You may use Como Brand Features only if you comply with the requirements set forth below.

    1. You are a Como Publisher (as such term is defined in the Publisher Agreement) and You are using the Como Brand Features solely on your website(s), webpage(s) and/or mobile app(s), in order to: (i) promote the use of your mobile app, and/or (ii) refer to Como’s website; and you are using language identical to the language provided by Como in the promotional materials available in your publisher account at Como.

    2. You are using the Como Brand Features as part of an impartial review of Como’s products, services or strategic partners.
      Permission from us is necessary to use any of the Como Brand Features under any circumstances other than those specifically permitted above. Nothing herein shall confer or vest in you any right of ownership in any Como Brand Features.

  3. Appearance of Como Brand Features

    You will ensure that the presentation of the Como Brand Features will be consistent with Como’s own use of the Como Brand Features in comparable media. From time to time, Como may provide you with a written guideline as to the size, typeface, colors and other graphic characteristics of the Como Brand Features, which upon delivery to you shall be deemed to be incorporated into this Policy.   4. Notices

    When used, all trademarks and service marks included in or accompanying the Como Brand Features will be designated with “™” or “®”, in the manner directed by Como. You agree to abide by all such messages and signs related to Como proprietary rights in and to the Como Brand Features, and to retain and avoid distorting such signs and notices in any copy thereof.
  5. Restrictions upon Use

    The Como Brand Features will not be presented or used: a) in a manner that suggests that editorial content has been authored by, or represents the views or opinions of, Como or any Como personnel or affiliate; b) in a manner that is misleading, defamatory, libelous, obscene, infringing or otherwise objectionable; c) in connection with any material that infringes the trademark, copyright or any other rights of any third party; d) as part of a name of a product or service of a company other than Como; or e) in a manner that infringes, derogates, dilutes, or tarnishes Como’s goodwill or impairs the rights of Como in the Como Brand Features. You agree to do nothing which will in any way impair or invade Como’s complete ownership and control of its Brand Features. You further agree that you will not use the Como Brand Features to indicate or imply in any way that you are part of Como or that Como has any ownership interest in you. You shall not use any Como Brand Feature or variation of it in your legal or business name or domain name, nor register any Como Brand Feature, nor any portion or variation thereof, as a business name, trade name, commercial name, trademark or service mark. Como will have complete discretion to evaluate your use and to decide whether that use violates any of the foregoing restrictions.
  6. Use for Como’s Benefit

    Any use of the Como Brand Features, and any goodwill therefrom, shall inure to the benefit of Como.
  7. Nonexclusive Remedy

    You hereby agree to make any changes to your use of the Como Brand Features as requested by Como. This remedy is in addition to any other legal remedies to which Como may be entitled in relation to your use of Como Brand Features.
